I wonder if someone could explain the technique and materials used to take moulds off this car in the video please. It is near to the end.

And what is the next stage in the process?

They are using a material called Syntactic Foam, It made by CAS Polymers in the USA, AdTech plastics` division. Basically a surface coat of Epoxy is put down first the laminated with Epoxy resin and FRP Cloth, then a Syntactic Epoxy dough is used for the bulking up, approx 20mm then another couple of laminations of Epoxy resin and cloth, the only problems with this system is the release from the clay, usually Epoxy, Polyester resin attack the clay surface and you end up loosing the model, another method `is to use Gypsum ( Plaster ) and the modified Gypsums like MDM from Chavant www.chavant.com this will release from the clay with no damage and allow you to create a FRP part or two if you are careful
