I live in Melbourne as well....does anybody know where I can learn modelling, short of going to Uni?

If you're already in Melbourne there are at least two car design studios in the area...
There could be modellers who can give you some pointers (in the studios or through the internet)?!
I suspect that there are Uni or college courses, in the area (or at least on the same continent) that may be able to help as well?!
Overall though, the best way to learn is to do it! Nothing teaches you more than giving it a go, and gaining the experience!

Lenman,
Checkout
Barnes Products, I'm sure they will be able to put you in the right direction. If not like Bacon said, you have GM's arm there in Holden, contact their admin for info or Ford.

Already tried to contact Linea Fina? They also sell clay and modelling stuff. They are located in Brunswick VIC.

Linea Fina is the go (you'll find contact details through google). Learning clay modelling, I'd try Monash Uni or maybe RMIT (less likely)
