So I'm the owner of a firm that designs and builds scratchbuilt cars. In my quest to meet friends in the industry I cam across a how-to on making your own CNC router... with the potential to make it 5 axis and have the ability to do foam and clay...

I figured this might come in handy for some people. We used the "section" command in 3DS Max to make sections that got cut from foam and then glued together... then we clayed over top and started shaping, so this kind of thing works...

Hey Audacity,

Could you check out my post "Specifications for Milling Clay"? I think you may be able to help me.

Thanks

Audacity,

Are you familiar with the 2054 Lexus concept that appeared in the movie Minority Report, with Tom Cruise?
I would like to build, or have someone build for me, a body of similar shape and design that could be adapted to fit on an existing chassis, such as an NSX, MR2, or possbily a custom tube chassis.
Is this something you could help me with?
