Anyone know what's the technical name of the paint design school students used on their CNC car model to get the glossiness of the surface?

They use the same as the Auto body shops use on full size vehicles, Gloss and shine come from preperation and sanding, ( Work ) there is no easy , quick method.

Hey March:

I'll send you via e-mail a WORD Document on How to Paint a Clay Model. But first you have to write me at: pwilczynski@academyart.edu

I teach clay modelling and painting clay models at AAU in San Francisco. This paper describes a system which I've developed through twenty years of doing painted clays for all the major studios.

It's complicated, but stick with it because it WORKS.

Best of luck and I hope to hear from you...the paper is on my computer at my office at AAU and I'm on my home computer right now.

Paul Wilczynski
AAU IDS 3D Manager

Also go back a few moths on the Clay Modelling Forum, you will find the whole process.
