I found this car a nice design, but there were a few things i found kind of messy.

My god that's ugly.

They took pictures of different Jaguar concepts and production cars and mashed them together in Photoshop. Infact, not just Jaguar, i think they even took a bit of Mercedes E-class, for the front, and the rear section has a hint of the four-door Aston Martin concept.

I think there is a real cliffhanger here, will Jaguar keep it's old XJ design, or go with something new? We are in the transistion period of two eras now, and cars are becoming more than just transportation. Status is becoming re-defined. Because of this Jaguar needs to have modern models like this. Use your past wisely Jaguar, and embrace the future!

it looks like a lexus however you slice it.

i found it appealing, and preety outgoing. the XJ is very classical looking and this one is very futuristic with a good dose of XK in it. i find it both brillantly proportioned and attractive

From the picture, the bodyside looks like the Lexus IS.

Jaguar is usually excellent with their body designs. The XJ220 is still one of my all time favorite supercars. The XJ13 was a great looking car. The D-type and E-Type are also great looking cars. The S-Type was a very good retro styling, just wish the rear would have been more retro.

This XJ sedan concept looks like a large departure from Jaguar styling which could backfire. Jaguar is a brand that has to be more aware of not breaking with tradition then other brands. I will wait to judge it when I finally see it the production version in person.

Where is it stated that this is an official or valid representation of a 2009 Jaguar XJ.. because i think its birdpoop. Also i would have imagined that jaguar would carry on they're new design theme so strongly expressed in the XK.....

i knew it was a photoshoppe, just wanted to add my two cents...what i really think jaguar is gonna do, is keep the classical look but use cues from the xk and the next s-type, which i hear is rather gorgeous in the flesh.
