Hey guys, have you seen this ? I thought BMW is over with the shocking design but I guess I was wrong. Not that I wanted to, I like the fact they are continually exploring some other design ideas which different people might... throw to garbage. This one looks pretty odd to me but, i guess it would be great to see it for real...in action. Some other opinions?
From the front quarter, the grill looks like it belongs to a womens....eeeerrr, nevermind. Looks strange, no over excersize of the flame. Looks fantastic from the top and I like the way the lines move back. Side design reminds me of the Z4.
Yeah this even surprises me. Overall I like it, but it could be improved upon. Basically to me it looks like a z4 mixed with the 326 of the 1930's. It's definitely different, Not sure what category this would be in, but I'd take this over that long Maybach coupe (forgot the name.)
This BMW is really awesome! Other brands should design such nostalgic concepts too. It'll do a lot for the BMW image I think-
Have you seen the asymmetrically built rear part of the car? I think this is going to inspire many designers to make their cars have asymmetrical objects too... Wait and see..
People have been playing with interesting bits of asymmetry for years but this will increase the number of portfolios with brainless, arbitrarily asym designs trying to differentiate themselves from the rest of the crop. Hey who am I to complain I did an asymmetric boat.
Concept car is the place for weird crazy things, there are novelty shapes mixed with retro not yet resolved ones, the sketches looks better that the final prototype, definitely BMW is searching for stay in excellence and they sure will find it, they do things that nobody try.
The best view, the top view! That’s not a complement but I have to see the car in real.

i agree with grille part and the odd look. but i like it, retro and flamesurfacing is a brillant combo, there is alot of z4 in there (it is based on the z4) the reminds me of the asymm X-coupe concept. its great, i love how the interior looks old but current at the same time.
i love it
*ive heard that this previews the X6 SAC, not sure how accurate my source is though*
Hi This is really a new design but like the cars in 40 years ago or more,it has nice front designing (pic No.2&3).Maybe creativity in the roof opening system is the most important factor for the car, like Saab AERO X in Geneva motor show but from the back. Each new car should have commons to the last company cars. However we can see the BMW marks on wheels and front but i think it hasn't special common parts with other BMWs.
This is either a work of genius or Bangle's latest insult to aesthetics. I think it's both. The overall lines are fantastic, but stuff like the asymmetric rear and flat stuck on headlights flat don't work. And Bangle has basically said F.U. to all those criticizing the wierd cutlines on the side of the Z4. He's not only repeated them, but added a bunch of conflicting vents there.
Well, if concepts are designed to stimulate discussion, this one will. Lord, save us from that asymmetric stuff, though. Last one to try that was Virgil Exner in his declining years and it didn't work then either.
