By recent I mean within the ;ast 5 years. What do u think is te best DESIGNED car?

hmm... i really liked the Saab Aero X. Its design is really cool and futuristic.

In too many cars there is the trait from the BMW 1-Series, the side of tht car shows up on many others.

If i had to choose a car currently in production it would be this

I agree that the Saab Aero X and S2000 are nicely proportioned cars.

However, one of my criteria for successful car design is how well the vehicle conveys Manufacturer identity, especially on the front.

The Saab Aero didn't stay with the traditional "tri-port" grill styling. In fact the left and right ports were moved to the headlights and look like recent Honda designs.

totally agree, they could have done a better reinterpretation of the triport grille.

If I had to choose the best production car, I loooove the mercedes CLS and the Acura TL.

However, as concepts go, Renault has the best ones, especially the egeus, altica and fluence, now THOSE are concepts. HURRAY for Le Quement!!!

I personally think the BMW Z4 is one of the most well designed cars in recent time (....and in all time)

thats sooo not the best design, it looks like a bug thing, for cool sports car design I rather look at the pagani Zonda or the carrera GT.
