Hello guys, im currently doing my dissertation on cars whichhave been designed with nature as inspiration. However im really struggling to find many examples, ive come across the Mercedes boxfish car, along with the bat11 and some of mazda's concepts but im still finding it hard to find many examples. Any help would be greatly appreciated, ive been reading up on Luigi Colani's work so far, thats the kind of dirrection im going in. Basically if you have any knolledge that your willing to share about the link between biomimetics, nature and car design i would be so greatfull, thankyou Tom
Best example is the Corvette, Google Mako Shark, Bill Mitchell caught a shark while fishing and it was the inspiration for this popular concept car. Generation 3 corvettes (which are actually the 4th generation) resemble sharks or sting rays.
thankyou very much, that sounds like a fantastic example, anymore ideas guys? ive found some other examples, theres some great stuff out there ! just gets hard to find, anyone got anything on the bmw z3? one problem im having is that im generally finding more concept cars, production examples woulod be alot better, thanks again for your reply, il post up some of my research once ive got it in order
