Also mind that Jag and Land Rover won't be cannabalizing sales anymore, and thus become more competitive. Jag can now compete with the 911, Ferrari and most namely Aston Martin, while Land Rover can take sales from the Lincoln SUVs

Tata is a much more bigger company than you think. Ever heard of Tetley tea? These guys have a steel subdivision (which would come quite handy ) and everything. In short with fresh new funds and more markets for the companies to compete with, this is a win-win situation

relax everyone......just cuz TATA swoops in to buy JLR dont mean that you're gonna find Jags in Mumbai with a TATA badge or a TATA SUV in London with a Land Rover badge..........

It has been clearly stated that they [TATA] are there to sign the cheques, expand their portfolio, and gain from the JLR design houses!

I think it's a win win for everyone!
