One thing we have to consider... It currently says 'New Forums Member' and 'Forums Member' to avoid confusion with Membership of the main site.

Also, the Karma system just counts number of posts. Would be nice if we could have a system that shows how experienced people are in design?(either professionals or those studying design).
We are looking at adding Moderators to help on some of the Forums (professional designers and design students).

maybe we could keep the member labels above the avater, and little icons below the avatar to indicate experience, moderators, ect.

that way you would get very odd things..look at me for instance..I do have some deisgn experience..but never posted any work..now I would be the 'ultimate gold member' with my 1350 (LOL)..and my design experience would say 'none'..now wouldn't that make some people scratch their heads?

Im sure we could have a freelance designer icon.

how about names based on real life positions,how long weve been here or our popularity...or real life designers.such as chris bangle..or we could name ourseleves.
ideas: senior designer,head designer..rookie designer..ACCD grad..director..cheif designer...and anyother positions.
and id like my name colored also.

wouldn't a popularity grade only start some big conflicts on who is more popular or the "he has a popular grade, but he's not that nice at all"..

yeah, and naming ourselves after famous designers may confuse new visitors.

no brillant list..iwas thinking the same..but i think design director should be 1000 posts..thats apreety big milestone to reach here and only two so far have been able to reach it... but i think flairs list should be used.
