I had a look at your drawings and there all very good. You really have the proportions dead on. The only advice I would give is probably loosen up on your drawing style, it will add more character to your work. Check out www.toyfon.com he has some good examples. If I was you I would attempt the same drawings but go a bit crazy with the construction lines. Another thing when you add colour to your work try a different shading method. The reason being so many designers use the same generic shading method and it looks too "photoshop". I hope this helps and if it doesn't you can have a pick at my work. Cheers Oliver
Hi mr. Burns, been a while alright I like the direction your sketches are going. Very honest approach, and the proportions are pleasant. Did you try shading using verithins and prismas instead of pencil though? I believe that will result in a cleaner finish.
those design are really original. However, i will agree with you that the drama is slow to come. With such edgy designs the lines should be more alive and flowing.. they look flat and dead (picture it if you will). The shaded ones do add some much needed drama. But i cant tell you're working on it so keep at it
Thanks for the comments guys! The only Verithins I have are color pencils, I have a black one that I use from time to time but I don't like it much. I use derwent graphic 6B pencil though which I find blends decently and gets dark enough.

Really? That's interesting. Can you be a bit more specific? is it the ellipse angles? wideness? the rims? Specific sketch that stands out more than others?
hey burns, good to see ya again, yeah looks liek u have improved and ur design looks more improved and original as well. sketchwise, its too tight..its good ot be loose and have that line comming striaght through t car. u have got the proportions, so just work on the loose part of it which will also allow you to be able to come up with those "happy mistakes" or watever u call it. but keep it up and for renderings, really try toget that 1,2,3 values right..look at tutoirals and etc for it coz it loks bit too flat rite now..but oher than that keep it up!
