ive been practicing and i drew this for the Invicta project. i think its much better than my last ones. im going to get some verithins soon so that should also help a little. anyone have any more suggestions or know any more places i can find some tutorials or help?
this issues with that drawing, well you'll work them out over time. as far as tutorials go, this site has good stuff, carbodydesign.com has a good archive of tutorials, and designertechniques.com could also help, but they have more stylistic stuff there. right now you need help with the basics. look for tutorials on proper proportioning and perspective. those are the keys.
like i said, within this site, and carbodydesign.com you can find tons. some of them may be more advanced than what you need, but i know for a fact that there's at least a handful of tutorials between the two websites that feature the basics. just browse the tutorial section of each website, you'll find some cool stuff.
I am glad to hear some comments on the tutorials at designertechniques. I just wanted to let you know that i am trying at the moment to get some more basic tutorials onto the site. If you have some thoughts or comments on what you are looking for please just send us a mail (you will find the address on the site). We recently added a tutorial showing a technique to improve line work...and are currently working on a simple perspective tutorial.
Xilix...sned us a mail and let us know what you would like to see as a tutorial!

looser so this is like drawing with long single strokes? well im working on that with my verithins but those beasts you have to keep super sharp or their worhtless.
dont have to keep supersharp at all times if you learn to rotate the pencil/tip every so often as you draw to get its sharper edge toward its thicker core. add "lineweight" to the sketches to pronounce its form more. At this stage, maybe concentrating more into your lines instead of shading will help?
