This is a sport truck like the Pontiac G8 and Holden Ute. I actually messed up the roof and liked it. Ive been practicing lines so these are hopefully lighter, tighter and livelier. Please crit the car and sketch quality seperately.

designwise: interesting DLO/glass.= Doesn't work w/ the whole straight/structured rear and front end .
technique: lose the ruler for now. Here's a decent basic sketching technique.

you don't need a ruler

yo watch this sketch, it was done with a tablet but at least you can see the basic style of it. Stop watching once he starts rendering half way thru the vid as you don't need to worry about that stuff right now.

Pay attention to how loose he is with his sketch and then how he builds upon it.

yeah, starting with 3 different thickness is good. Thicker ones up front (closer to viewers, gradate into distance).
some thickness when you're changing line directions too...

ok so leave the guidelines and the overshot lines. just darken the area that is the car but leave the rest light in the back... right?
