hi, I live in Canada and I'm going to apply for art Center's fall 2008 session. But on the site it says work should not be submitted on a CD. So I wonder do I just print out copies of my drawings and renders and send it to them in a folder?
ya make sure tho u print them in high quality paper..i dunno i heard its more professional and so yeah lol so if there are any kinkos or somethin like that in canada id reccomend printing out from there...but it can be kinda costly :-P and make sure u make lots of those and organize them as well. good luck i hope u can make it to art center!
yeah, i think schools/companies receiving CD portfolios are a real turn off.
Just make copies of key sketches, along with color renderings, etc... Years ago, I just submitted them in a black portfolio case. Make sure to take the price tag off.
Print it on gold leaf if you like if the work isnt any good it goes in the bin. Thats the case for studios anyway. Just look at the better featured portfolios and emulate them.
I'm going to sent 20 or so pieces similar to the Mazdas I posted. I guess my biggest concern is do they allow the drawings being copied and pasted into a group or do they want a copy of each original drawing?
actually, they want both lol. so wat i would do is, along with ur copied and pasted ones,,i would also put the oriinal drawings and renderings (organize them) and put them in like a folder of soem sort and send it to them....dont forget to send them ur fine arts and figure drawings tho!!!
