Which is the best of all the universities in Italy offering Industrial or Automotive Design. So far Ive found IED, Florence and SPD. How do they rank and how do they compare with Coventry and the university ive heard mentioned in this forum in California?
Also what are the universities in Spain like for these courses?
Italy is a grate experience, also because there’re lots of Centri di Stile around and the influence of futurism in their art is evident, they love speed! They love style.
Being there is not a guarantee, maybe only the Royal College or Pasadena are a secure choice. But there is also the Istituto di Arte Aplicata in Turin where they have a complete program in a small school but the opportunity to observe from the first line.
IED and SPD are serious master courses but there are not to many successful professionals coming from these schools, about the others I don’t know.
Everything depends on you, if you want to give your best anything could be good enough but car design is not a simple profession, you’ll be recycled again and again and there is not guarantee that once you reach a position you’ll be secure there. Everyone is better than the other and there’re thousands around and very few can reach the goal.
