Hey everyone. My name is Patrick and I am a 16 year man that really needs advice on how to become a Concept Car Designer. I have, until now, wanted to become an Airline Pilot. I recently changed my mind because of a sudden fascination of cars and transportation vehicles. Does anyone have advice on what classes to take in my high school, what colleges or design schools to look at, or any advice that you think would be helpful for me to pursuit this career. Thanks for reading my message and hopefully responding to it.
Don't rely on courses in high school for anything. They didn't help me much and were filled with misinformation and teachers thinking they knew it all. Look at all the drawing tutorials on this site and looks at designer's sketches. Then take this info and start sketching immediately on your on. Plus, this topic has been covered a dozen times. Use the search function for the forums and browse through.

As suddenly the interest comes, as suddenly it can disappear. I am not saying that it will be like this, but i am 16 too, you can take a look at my drawing (just uploaded it), but i have an interest in drawing cars since i can remember. Whole lot of info has been posted, just search through the posts and you will find valuable informations.
hi guys i was wondering i have designs that ive created and wanted to know how i would go about sharing that and becoming a concept car designer. not to be cocky, but i know i have what it takes. cars arent the only things that i draw, but i love cars, its my passion, so im more towards that, anyone know, please let me know... thanks chris
usually it doesn't work that way. a good way to start would be to enter some design competitions. (you will find them on this site too, otherwise try designboom.com, core77.com...)
if you are good, gif you get a degree in transport/car design, then, maybe it is time to send out some portfolios.
