All the courses at coventry are pretty much the same until the last year.
Everyone from all the courses no matter which one you apply for goes onto the 'Transport & Product Design' course and does the mostly the same modules (there are a few extras to choose between other than the core modules like aerodynamics, or boat design etc) for the first 2 years.
The 3rd year is optional called a professional enhancement year where you work on projects in with the industry.
Only at the start of the 4th year do you choose which 'title' you want to end your degree with (and which you are eligable for depending on which modules you chose, and if your grades were good enough in specific modules).
Automotive design = mainly styling Vehicle design = slightly more engineering Transport & Product = main degree title (most people do this) Boat Design = does what it says on the tin. MDES = not a real masters but is supposed to represent the standard a masters student should be working to - instead of doing 2 projects in the final year (major & minor), you only do the major project in the 2nd 2 terms, but spend the first term doing extensive research into a subject and writing a dissertation on it which you major/only final year project must be based on.
Thank you ABAlias, sorry, but if you don't mind, can I have your msn or something? because I have got an offer letter from coventry and have a lot of questions :S and I'm also confused with many things,
