hey guys, I have some questions about pforzheim...coz i guess i mite not be able to attend accd so im gonna try to apply to cov, and pforzheim. so i need some info!!
1.tuition for internationals?
2.required portfolio pieces..like can i just send in my car drawings i snet to accd? or do i need other fine art pieces as well?
3.deadline
4.if i take hardcore lesson of german for like next few months(say 6 months at least) then would i be fine in pforzheim?
i want to attend the BA. Im gonna start learning german in january..and proabbly attend the school on the winter semester. yeah..they suck with email stuf,,i mite call them later tho
as far as i know the tuiton for everybody in pforzheim is about 590 euros per semester.

I'm just curious as to the environment, town, and quality of work(which seems to be inconsistent, but great)
To be honest, if I am 4-5 years younger than I am now, I would love to attend pforzheim too. The only "hurdles" I see are language barrier and fitting within/understanding the culture... which means, a lot of adjusting. But that's definitely worth the time invested. I heard German companies hires a lot of their grads. So, provided you change your visa status later, I think you can work and live there...yeah?

is there an info on pforzheim's tuition? unless the school's super cheap, i would have reservation of going especially if you are planning to pay with dollar.
as a German I don´t see any 'HURDLES'. Especially no problems that an American would have problems with the culture. The life in Germany is more or less the same as in the USA. The only thing is that the European live much more ecologic and economic.
So what else can I say, Pforzheim is ugly town, but then the students can concetrate much more on their work at the university. Pforzheim is very close to the big premium producer Mercedes and Porsche.
So more 90 percent of the TD students get a job at an OEM design studio. At every show come designers from Audi, BMW, Mercedes, VW and Porsche catch students and offer them contracts.
I think Pforzheim is one of the best cardesignschools of the world next to RCA, Umea and Strate College.
In my opinion ACCD and CCS already had their times, if I´m looking threw the cdn degree galleries they can´t go with the high european level. But in Europe ACCD has still the highest reputation.
angel- tutuion is 500 euros, but to get a student visa you have to transfer over 7,000 euros into a german bank to make sure you have enough money to cover your living expenses for a year, you obviously don't have to spend the 7k.
smoky- looking at both schools i find art centers work more impressive. Initially it looks as if pforzheim blows accd out of the water, their models are amazing! but look at their sketches, look at their design development, some of their initial renderings. it occurred to me that pforzhiem has a sick final result, I love their models and they are very progressive and creative...but they seem to be lacking in the development stage.(IE the most important) There was a rumor going around when i was at ccs that pforzheim students had professional modelers to do their models...not sure if thats true. but regardless they have some amazing work coming out of the school.
