Nothing again today, just even more stuff from CCS. I have so much stuff from them, and Art Center didn't even send me the catalogue I ordered (twice) long ago.

Well my confirmation letter had the date "march 13th" on it and I received it on the 17th, so that's a 4 day delay from the day they ship it to the day I get it.
If I only knew what date they ship the admissions letters, then I could come up with a good estimate of when I'll get mine.
Well for me it took a month for the acceptance letter to come in. They usually ship it on thursdays and tuedays. If they get you material on a monday, then there is a good likelyhood they will ship it that thursday or the next thursday...

sorry about that burns...did you apply to any other schools?

Damn sorry to hear that Burns, don't take it to heart theres always a way for the solution I sudgest you apply to CCS, a couple of guys from my Humber class got in with scholarships, its much easier to get into that school and if ACCD is your dream u can always transfer from CCS already having first years portfolio quality material....this is no the end its only the beginning, so don't give up!
thanks guys, it's alright I guess. I don't think I'm going to apply to CCS, for me it was either Art Center or nothing, and I don't think I can stomach another application process for now. I wouldn't have been able to go anyway, better the spot be given to someone who can go. I'm positive it wasn't my portfolio to blame tho, it was a great portfolio, but perhaps it was my first year college grades which weren't too great.
It's funny tho, when I got the letter, I did what I always do to cope with these things and started to draw. Halfway through I caught myself and was like WTF am I doing!
Man, sorry to hear that Burns. Don't give up on what you have been doing tho buecause you definitely have the passion and skills to succeed. Would you consider taking classes from Pasadena City College for another try to ACCD? I'm sure they'll be able to offer you I20 if you are willing to be enrolled full time. I hear great things about that school and heard from ACCD's fourth term student recently that nearly half of his class came from PCC and that they tend to be the better ones. I've also seen entrance portoflios from PCC students and they were VERY VERY impressive. I myself am regretting that i chose ACN over PCC when I first came out here.

thanks angela, I guess for now I'll just sit tight, work on my own (can't afford to move to Cali just yet) and apply again for Jan, maybe I'll have better luck then. It's probably better this way because now I have some time to work both on my ability and to make some money. I'm not going to give up on it, I can't see anything else I'd rather be doing. Screw astronomy.
thanks again guys, and good luck on your endeavors! I'll try and see if I can join you later on!
