so im in a very bad state whether to study designing or not. my heart says to study.. but my head says not possible becoz of my money problem.
i need to kno how much salary will i get if get employed after studying designing.. if i get a good salary, then i can confidently take loan from the bank and apply for the course.. so guys plz tell me about the salary and also, will get any part time jobs in italy to reduce my living cost and rent?..

Hi,

I think your situation is very common for people outside Europe.
If you are a good sketcher and have good ideas, I think you wont have problems being accepted.
But you are wrong in 2 things, at least if you are planning to come to Italy (Turin) you dont need so much per month, i thing 650 or 700 would be enough if you are very tight and second, Im not very sure but the tuiton fee is about 10,000 euros for the master, for the part time job, forget it, you wont have any part time, and if you do, a part time in Italy, being illegal, wont be so much. And finally if you are looking to work as a professional here in Italy, maybe you will have to start on a stage, that is working for free, they pay you with experience (Motherf...s) not a single cent.
And when you get a paid job its about 2000 euros for a few years.

So this is not a career to become rich, its something because you are following a dream, nothing more

European Bachelor _ Euro 5.300,00 per year, inscription and Tax include; attendance is mandatory
so here you go, thats a quote from an info message i wrote to iaad (Turin).
In Milan the tuition fee is doubled (past 10000 euros), and masters degree is a lil bit more Wink .
How old are you?

Commenting is easy.

Smilethanks for the information provided.. so it is very clear tht i cannot take a loan and go to europe in the sense i could payback the debt in 5-6 years... it is very disappointing.. so wat if i get a job outside Italy after finishing my degree?.. will i paid higher?.. and also is there any good design college in europe other than italy?

@ vid
i dont get it clear.. is it euro 530000 per year or is it 5300 per year?... and im 20 years old..

5,300

Europeans use the , as Decimal Point, its weird.
If you get a job outside Italy you will be better paid, but if you are alias or clay modeler you will be paid 2 o 3 times more than just plain designer. Of course there are better schools outside Italy, but for example france or germany you must domain the local language, and England, well you dont want to know how much you have to pay being a non EU citizen. You also have to realize that if its already hard to find a job, it would be more being from outside Europe, and also just because you have a degree its not enough, they would ask for experience, and if you dont have everything would be hard, specially in the money issue

IED is BAD.. don't go there.
i guess IAAD is better..

and anyway the cost of IED or of ACCD its absolutely different..

IED is 3 years, tuition is less expensive (even if living in northern italy its more expensive than livin in the us)
ACCD is 4 years, 8/9 semesters.. and the tuition is more expensive..

oh and remember paying with EUROS is more expensive than paying by US dollars..
for example 5000E are $7100

If you want to do a masters degree, you can consider Umea Institute of Design in Sweden. The education is ok, great facilites but very bad location... The main advantage is that, the school is still tuition free... The education is in English and almost all of the Swedes can speak English.
