Hopefully you can answer a couple of questions for me, as it's getting closer and closer, i've been thinking about what things i will need to bring with me to Coventry, will i need to buy a computer or laptop and when? am i right in thinking there will be offers available to me once i get there...and i read about something that Cov do,where if you get over a certain amount of UCAS points they grant you £1000? Thanks

I found it more cost effective to learn to render in Photoshop than buy markers at a fiver each, but its always nice to sketch with colour. Maybe purchaze lots of A4, lots and lots and lots of biros, a scanner and a computer or laptop.

Granted groping around in Anius is dull, but doesnt getting forty thousand million pounds an hour make up for all that non-rational b-spline anal ysis?

this is a big reply for all stoodents coming to cov. I'm going into my final year now. first two yrs wer poo, but its got much better over the last year. things to do-Plan your time, practise sketching, don't waste time with stupid stuff, have plenty of ideas, drink in dogma, and the colly. Go everywhere and do everything. look out for chavs and try not to offend anyone. make sure you have contacts. dont bother with mdes unless you can be bothered with management kinda stuff and a more business idea of design (but its still not like that). things not to do - believe you are the top gun (wait for your chat wiv alan birch), dont beleive you'll get a job in the car industry, don't get in with any pompus up them self arses, you'll regret it. As I have found, planning is of upmost importance to this course, then design skills. Forget what most of the tutors say, its generally ********. Don't get offended if they say thats rubbish, half of the time your work is, and half the time their wrong. Get in with a good crowd. Cov is a bit pants but the people your with make all the difference, and theres alot of good ppl about. most of all, enjoy what your here to do, and thats enjoy the stoodent life. work hard, play hard, and know when to go home for a weekend. Its expensive, and a little stressful, but i'ld do the last three yrs all over again. cfru PS. mechanics and maths for this course is definately laughable. I know jack **** an im on for a 2:1 somehow!!!
great socks, great times

Don't panic!
Most of my friends didn't get the grades, me included! We all did foundation courses first, so if you can't get on the course straight away with your portfolio then try a foundation year at Coventry, then do the course.
If you have any questions, ask!
