New guy intro and a few questions.

41 year old graphic artist obsessed with cars, been sketching since I was 7. I want to switch to a career in transportation design of some kind, probably something in the aftermarket/SEMA stuff.

What is the age range for students in the transportation design programs at CCS, ACCD and other design schools? Will my previous experience be a help or hinderance (bad habits?). Is it neccessary to attend one of the top schools for what I want to do?

Domke, many people have dilema on their ages. Myself included. I just started a new thread about it.

What I learned so far is that schools don't care because they have to collect tuition. Companies do care.

Cyrusyn what the heck are you yapping about >> Domke posted two times...

Domke is the one asking whether or not hes too old for this profession. Domke I don't think age has anything to do with it. Every year the age range of students can be as low as 18 to as high as the 40-ish. I would try to contact the school directly rather than relying too much on this website.
