Try not taking Steve's class before vis comm. Richard Petruska's class will develop shape forming abilities and observing skills. Enhancing your "taste" in the process. Steve Eastwood has a style of drawing that is particularly his. What's best about Steve though, his honest, credible and up to the industrial standard opinion and critique. Very valuable insight.

Also, there's Dan Vehse teaching intro product and trans. He is very good with functionable concepts/developing cool designs beyond the scope of aesthetics. A true challenger.

Other than that, finish off your GE with A's or some B's at the city college. Additional techniques/execution/design method are best learned by doing and going to the city library at minimal, again, MINIMAL cost. ACCD's library works fine too.

I would seriously recommend you NOT to take any classes at Art Center. I am there now in my 7 th term and I regret it. The school is a complete JOKE, and it gets worse every term.

There's already over 600 signatures from students, faculty, staff, former employees, former sponsors and professionals who are telling you that the school SUCKS.

Oracle, that's a frank statement. I've read some of the blogs and posts linked to that link. While I sympathize that you feel that way after doing so much work, I have to ask though:
What is your major? and when you graduate, what do you think you will be doing?
And then, speaking for prospective students that will attend anyway, what do you think we can do to improve the situation and help ourself?

Well I've officially deferred my application to the Spring term, so I guess that'll give me some time to see how it goes for you fall students, and if the issues get resolved. I hope they get resolved, I don't want to have to graduate from Carelton University here in Canada with an industrial design degree and hope that Mercedes Advanced Design gives me a job.

after seeing some first term work done by students.. its still better/more intense than the stuff I saw/did at AAU.

So despite its currently not being what it could.. it still seems better then many other schools.....?

Oracle what day is the busiest for you LATE term kids? I'm gonna be coming down there in a week or 2 to show off my portfolio/demand acceptance and would love to talk to some of you while I'm there....

ACCD is my playground
