Hello everyone, I have posted on these forums before and would like to say thanks to the people who respond back to my comments. Anyways I am in a dilima right now. Ever since I was in elementary school I have always enjoyed drawing cars but not existing ones. My own. Today I am at wayne state and the actually had a trans sponsered project. My problem is I have evaluating my situation and the only have on trans class in the winter semster and you can only take that class twice. I am really starting to consider to transfer to ccs in the fall but at the same time my faith is very important to me. I am very concern that I won't have time to commit to Jesus as much as i want to. I am willing to sacrifice sleep(already sleeping 4 to 5 hrs anyways because I am taking five classes), food, social life, and even my health but not Christ. Plus my main concern is that i graduate in trans and still don't get a job and end have over $130,000. Personally would like to start a family some day but not with that kind of debt. Really I just don't want to live life with regretting that I did not persue my goal and second passion. Anyone else been in this situation or can give me advice
first of all, you have to believe in yourself second, you have to have good skills so others can believe in you. You can get by with the latter. Having said that, do you have any samples to show?
I understand where you're coming from. But since you're being fairly vague, it's hard to give concrete suggestions. If you transfer to CCS with a good amt of credits, I don't think you should have too difficult a time respecting your faith while staying competitive. While you may not be quite as active in your faith (I don't know how active you are now), it doesn't necessarily mean you're sacrificing your faith.
And like Ferrari on two said, it'll be much easier if you already have good skills. So feel free to show us some samples.

Work on improving your skills as much as you can at Wayne State. Take as many industrial design related course work, design/drawing courses. Then transfer over. You want to enter CCS or a related trans. design school with your skills as strong as possible.
There is no need to think that you need sacrifice your faith over school...but keep a balance is probably a better view. You'll be busy with school and such, but most likely their will be Christian related clubs at the school that you can be active in or nearby church.
Thanks everyone for the feedback. I would post some more trans work but the trans class I am taking we are actually sketching at 11*36. And since I have only an 8*11 scanner I need more time to do it. I was considering taking apply for ccs this fall and atleast take a couple of classes. Maybe just a viscom class.
Hello I have not been posting in a while but I would like some feedback on this sketch. I am considering to apply for CCS this fall. I would post alot more sketches but I just don't have the time to scan a bunch of 11*36 sketches.
Unfortunately due to the intense competition in this field, you have to make it your first passion, your first priority and dedicate the most time to it. If your faith is more important, you might be able to pull it off, but it'll be much harder, as there is already too much in the way.
