Okay, it's almost May and I have yet to put together a portfolio for CCS. I honestly don't know how to get started. Also, I have no idea what type of papers to use or if it even matters if they accept my portfolio on a CD.
And how does financial aid work? I'm a U.S. citizen and will be living on my own in Detroit, so does that mean I can get money from FAFSA?
Can someone here quickly run through some of these things for me? It will be much appreciated.
well, ccs's deadline for fall 08 has passed...call to see if they are still taking applications, can't really help you there
yes they take cd portfolios..use your fine art, they are'nt particular;ly looking for cars, but you can include them.
you have to file for your fasfa, if you havent before the deadline again...dont know what to tell you.
i'd say, wait till fall 09, or spring '10, if you can't get in fall 08 or spring 09

I know they do accept CD portfolios and like to see a good thought process. Use fairly recent (last couple years) drawings. You will probably do well to look over the portfolio req's.

What do you mean the deadline has passed? I applied online a couple weeks ago and they sent me an envelope asking me to send in $35, High School transcript, and ACT scores. I think they also asked for my portfolio.
If it's too late, would they have sent me that info? And their website does not list any deadlines for anything, they simply explain what is needed to get into the college.

i'm sorry wrong school...(wait i rushed for ccs when i had more time?) yes, you have untill august(other schools stop in march, but ccs must really want to fill itsself up to capacity) you got alot of time but don't waste it... get on the ball now!
if you applied online what fee do you have to pay?, it should have been free
