just a quick understand of how does excatly art center process transfer students based on the year and studio credit transfer? for example, if anyother students who is raising into their sphomore or junior year in transportation design and decided to transfer to art center, can they go straight into sophmore or junior trans studio or art center only accredit liberal art credit but the student must restart its studio course specifically for art center at freshman level? answers please...
It'll be highly unlikely that they will grant tranfer credits to anything other than general education & liberal arts. When you look at the course sequencing here, you will see that it is impossible to jump years with advanced credit and expect to finish earlier than others (see for it yourself in their school catalogue).
I know of a current audi designer who studied at ccs with his prior degree in engineering. He transferred to art center but had to fufill all eight terms here as a full time student status.
all studio credit is usually useless unless you can prove without a doubt you can do well in that particular class. academic credt can be transferred if it meets the requirement, but sometime it can account for a different fulfillment and you'd have to take a course for that credit. if u wanna be in adv. placement, you have to show that u have the abilities that above most students or you have previous wurk exp. i know a dood in my third term exterior class who worked at peugeot before and another dude who wurked for gm. so as u can see its pretty ****ing hard to get adv. place. some guys get their school funded by a company and can get to start in the 5th term. dunno how that wud wurk but wateves.
