Hi everyone, just thought i'd let those Engineering graduates out there who want to go into the Automotive design side of things know that Chalmers and UMEA (both in Sweden) have linked up to form the Sason School of Design. It runs Masters courses (taught in English) in Transport Design at UMEA and Automtotive Industrial Design Engineering at Chalmers. As a student on either one of these courses you get the chance to study on the other course also.
Just though i'd let you know about it, it does not seem to be well marketed but being partly run by UMEA and Chalmers, which is a top Engineering University, it has its positive points and may be one worth considering.
BTW i know this may sound like an advert for the school but i only posted becasue 1) i have recently applied there and 2) i always read posts from Engineering students who ask about how to get into design.
If anyone know more about the School it would be great to build up more information on it.
I am from London, England but am both a British and Italian National thtough parentage. I have a degree in Automotive Engineering.
I think this course is going to be very popular for those Engineering graduates looking to get into a more design orientated role. The Chlamers/Umea link up joins together two of the the best Universities in their field in the world.
Iam a bit confuse, what is really the difference between Transportation Design at Umea and Automotive Industrial Design Engineering at Chalmers Univ? Do you really must be good at math and science to study at Chalmers? It's been more than a year since my last post in this forum and still the website sason is still under construction. Can someone help me? Thx
