tape drawing

typically done by designers on a large wall - to create a scale elevational view (normally the side view).
Its actually 'mat tape' (usually black) applied to a large tranlucent sheet of film. The film alows you to easily reposition the tape as normal paper would be easily torn.
Its also good to do scale tape drawings before starting a scale clay model.

Canson style render

see my tutorial on :- http://www.designertechniques.com/tutorials/AndrewJonesPhotoshop01-page1.htm

Canson is a brand that manufacturs coloured paper. A canson rendering is simply a render directly onto coloured paper - but you dont get the advantage of seeing through to you underlay as with marker paper.

But you can simulate the effect in photoshop.
