What is your idea to have a CDN Messenger like MSN or YAHOO Messenger ...only for the CDN Members...That'll be cool

I want to suggest to the CDN,but what is the reason to use forum at that time?
Please suggest your own ideas to use in this field...
Each idea will be effective in this regard

to talk to forum members, NAIAS is coming up, mabe some members would like a one-on-one coonversation about it. or we could learn more about our fellow CDN-ers. except were not in a group id be a one-one conversation,(unless you could talk with more than just one person at once in the same im box...but that becomes a chatroom)

and we have a chatroom...

But how would using an IM be different to the chat? What would you like it to do?

the standard uses of a messenger, friends list, whos online. picture display.
i cant think of anymore right now..ill have to brainstorm.

Thanks Vexed&Glorious for your good answers.I think Brett could not understand what i really mean and so what is my purpose to use messenger.One of my most important purpose is better communications and having chatrooms in different subjects like the forum.Messenger is different from only a part to chat on CDN.

I certainly wouldn't use it.

It would kill the forum, and the whole point of the forum is that you can share information and find information posted by other uses. In a chat it's not available to anyone else. If you need to chat there are 101 other services available.

Just my thoughts.

I'm agree with you in this field,but this chat system is only for members(Designers) and each person can chat with other persons about designing and i think it can help persons to know other designers.Don't forget CDN messenger will be only for the CDN members
