I'm currently studying to get an MA in Automotive Design. For my final project I'm going to design a new London Taxi.

As part of my research I need to find out what peoples perception of the London Taxi are whether it be first hand experience or otherwise.

Any thoughts would be appreciated but in particular I want to find out the following :

What you think of its design ?

What you think of the idea of a stretched limo version ?

What you think it represents.

Any help will be much appreciated and I look forward to showing my final design here when the project is complete in November 2007...

I think London taxi design is boring, even LTI TX4 London Taxi has better design but i suggest you to change it to a new version.
You should be careful about some points e.g. main lines and the type of front and back lights should be the same but it can change to a newer and modern version by changing type of design lines and details.For example new BMW and Mercedes vehicles have many common points with their older versions.

I actually think the London taxi is cool, it's a particularity of London...

London, would be less London without its taxis...

But I don't mean it would be bad to change...
