Germany's first and fourth goals were more down to the ball than the player., did anyone (UK) see that programme where they felt it necessary to put the world cup football in a wind tunnel? Not knowing how a footy behaves in a wind tunnel was keeping me awake at night.
Trezuguet? Is he gonna be as good as he was 6/8 years ago? Is the french team gonna be as good? We've got Owen, Crouch and Walcott(?) but there are people throwing themselves off bridges because we might not have Rooney for a couple of games.
Italy; Vieri is totalled, Gattuso and Zambrotta are touch'n'go and Totti is just back from injury. However, they are a bloody good team to watch.
Germany's defence? Concede two goals by Paulo Wanchope?
Today's game: England will win 3-0; Owen, Lampard, J Cole. I won't be posting for a couple of days, i'm going to be in various forms of alcohol induced death.

Yeah trezuguet is one overrated player in my view. as long as henry is on the pitch, you know he'll be making some magic. no question.
TBH i dont think bringing walcott straight into the international scene when he's hardly played any premiership football...it's stupid. he is a good player, but he needs to mature more. owen, got no problems with him. he's a goalscorer. crouch..i have my doubts. he's got some skill, but i dont think he's england standard. rooney..as long as we have him when it counts, i'll be steering clear of any bridges..
yeah i'll go for that 3-0. twould be awesome.

But what about Davis?? You know he'll birdy on the 18th to go six under, and surely no team would be complete without Ronny O'Sullivan; he'd never pot the white in the other teams goal. Ever.

I mean England being held off by Paraguay 1-0 throughout the rest of the game. It's the unexpected, all the small teams are putting up an excellent battle. Trinidad and Tobago held off Sweden 0-0, Argentina 2-1 against Ivory coast which was less than what I expected, and my favorate match Ecuador 2-0 victory over Poland. Thats damn good for Ecuador who has only qualified twice for the World Cup. Oh, and Paulo Wanchope made some pretty good plays against Germany I've got to give him some credit. The Final is still a blurr in the distance and there is still alot to see from the rest of the groups. I'd like to here from you guys some more. What are your predictions for the other teams?

so far so good. Today's game Italy vs Ghana is gonna be a tight battle but I'm sure Luca Toni and Totti won't let the side down.
the best match in my opinion so far was the Argentina vs Ivory Coast, that was beautiful football.
My predictions for todays fixtures:
Italy 1-0 Ghana (scorer might be Toni or Del Piero)
USA 2-3 Czech rep (scorer might include Nedved, Baros, Rosicky and Donovan, Eddie Johnson or mcbride)
Aus 1-2 Japan (scorer might include Takahara, Nakamura and Viduka)

After those games, I'd prefer England meet Brazil rather than Spain. I got the impression that Brazil thought 'we're gonna get a cricket score here' and played at being flash-bastards from the first minute. Spain played 90 minutes at the same pace and worked for each other, even if the penalty was awarded for f**k all.

England are playing today against Trindid & Tobago. I predict a 2-0 victory for England and that would put them into the knock out stages.

Rooney, Beckham etc get all the hype while de facto captain Gerrard smoothly does the business. Again.

Stevie G is always gonna play second fiddle to Beckham and Rooney 'cos his missus ain't chavvy enough; although damn she tries.
