I suggest contacting ICEM directly for learning resources or courses if your career will depend on it. It is a highly professional surface modeler and not aimed at general 3d modeling and for hobbyists with no free stuff you can find on the web and not easy to learn too. There is free learning edition of AliasStudio (StudioTools) with some useful learning stuff from Autodesk for those who are interested to learn about high quality surface modeling and Class-A surfaces.
I guess that would be the best starting point along with an evaluation of Rhino.

Sorry if you are not new to Class-A surface modeling but to ICEM Surf.

Hi firescript,

it is very(!) difficult to find free content about ICEM Surf on the net. In fact I did not succeed myself in doing so... I suggest, You try to find someone, that has material about ICEM himself and is willing and allowed to share it with You. ICEM themself sell courses teaching their software and earn money with this; so they probably won't be any help in finding something about ICEM. What You may try is contact the two following people from german university FH Zwickau. Perhaps (!) and with good arguments up your sleeve, You give them enough reason to help You out. Look out for

Professor Dr. Lutz Nagel & Professor Dr. Peter Bonitz

This is just a hint. So don't get frustrated, if You ain't getting anything from them - but worth a try though I think. ICEM knowledge is precious and so the knowledge is kept by those who know - unfortunately :-(

So You might also consider, what akh154 already told You, and learn the best You can about surfaces and their controlpoints with Rhino and Alias-trial and then try to find an employer, that is willing to get You teached on ICEM. Which is not that unlikely right now, as ICEM-modellers are a scarce breed at the moment :-)

Greetings

cs

P.S.: And if You speak german, You may talk in a subforum of www.cad.de about ICEM Surf - altough the forum is not very much frequented :-(
