Photoshop will default back to 1 pixel, non-antialiased, every time you stroke the path so you'll have to select the linewidth each time anyway. To make tapered, 'sketchy' lines make the path longer than necessary and tick 'Simulate Pressure.'

What si the general concensus on Alias SketchBook? I downloaded the trial to mess around and like it, but there are no "smoothing" abilities (that I see).


Does anyone here use it for conceptual sketches?

Audacity, I am working on something to show the paths tool on DesignerTechniques now, but as with everything there is finding the time. Hopefully soon though.
