I've checked out a lot of the tutorials at Alias'
website, but any books on technique?

There is some stantard edition with basics exercices but you've got them on alias learning DVD now.(around U.S. $10)
And those are more usefull for design product than car design modeling surfaces.
If you are a designer you should get from alias special learning book for using studiotools as sketching and then you start your modeling from your skectchs. (with autostudio interface)

I have several very good tutorials for alias and painter for sketching – mpg files (dvd).

This is some of the names, which must be seen, in work - try hard to get all DVD stuff from them.

I think I also have several DVD-s, which explains advanced techniques for design in Alias – I buy them on Alias web site – check there for new stuff.
