I;m not a 3d modeler at all, for now atleast, but i think your wheel is not round because of your polygon count, if you use more polygons, it will take longer to render, but the end result will look nicer..hope it helps, and I hope i'm right LOL

Design is a mix of ideas, madness and realism, and you've got to find the best compromise

I did't use any poligones. I had 2 circles and I used loft to have this surface.

You need to turn up your render mesh quality:

File>Document Properties>Mesh>Smooth & slower

BTW, your wheel spokes has almost zero thickness, and no space for lug nuts.

Hi,
im not a rhino user, but an alias one but i think you can do this

export as an iges and just import in max, you will have a perfect surface (but heavy), just force the 2 sided view

also use a image of a real wheel so you can have the perfect proportions.

regards

Hi there again,

That's a very good start you know...
Besides the comments about the image quality, I just would suggest you to keep working on your modelling skills before going to renders.... well, that's what I do.
Maybe you can try to increase the thickness of the wheel (the rounded part) so that it looks more real...
Well... it's been some time ago since I used Rhino the last time, but I hope it helps.
By the way, does your Rhino have Flamingo included? Or, which renderer do you plan to use in the future?

Good luck dealing with Rhino!... jaja... just kidding... I think Rhino is a very powerful and friendly CAD tool.
