First, check if you are using qualified hardware and Windows XP.

Check and see what the level of your curve is. By default it goes to something like a 5th or 7th order curve. You'll need to click the screen and create abou 8 cv's before it will actually draw you that curve on screen.

The best way sometimes is to create a keypoint line (Straight line), go to the options, turn the cv's on and then change the order of the curve in the upper right of the screen. Add only as many cv's as you actually need to make the curve the way you want it. It's kind of the long way because you can't "Draw" your curve that way, you have to move it to the position you want by pulling cv's, but it will give you the best result with the lowest amount of math in the background.

Hope this helps.

Are you running Vista? Alias doesn't run on it, you get the modelling windows but they remain empty.

In the options box for CV curves set it to degree 1, then it should be just 2 clicks to get a straight line on screen. From here, use the degree units at the top of the palette box on the right to add more CVs. You can use multi-degree CV curves but if you put down more CVs than the pre-selected degree allows, you'll start throwing spans through any surface you build off that curve.
