Ian Davis:

Ok, I understand about the wheels. I have already fixed it but haven't posted it yet.
But the front and the stretch thing are supposed to be that way. But thanks anyway.

As for the Ferraris. The following cars are not teardrop shaped:

  • Enzo
  • 360 Modena
  • 360 Modena Spider
  • Challenge Stradale
  • F430 line
  • F355 line
  • and lots more

The 612 and 599 and 550 and 575 and others are teardropped shaped, but the listed ones are not.

S4NDr0:
I was reffering more to his colour technique than his perspective and proportion.

I am confused as I can't figure out if you knew this was to be a Daytona before you designed it, or just thought it resembled one after finishing it and reading this post. This will affect my comments on your piece, so I will wait for your reply before I tell you what I think. (I do like it though, don't worry).

AS I drew it I realized it WAS a Daytona in essence, tho i had No prior knowelege of this thread before I drew it...??, interesting question, I am wondering why you asked that tho?

My INTENT was just to draw a car I liked, not specificaly a Daytona, but sure hit me that way once I drew it !!....and as the other comment here so aptly noted I do like the "old school" cab rearward design more often than not.

BTW I have been working to develop this "style" of drawing for awhile, for exactly the reason you stated here, recognizability, and yea sometimes I still screw up the proportions as it is a very loose drawing technique I use more akin to painting than sketches....THX.

By the way, that isn't an F355, you probably know that though. But.... the thing is, those are no more teardrop shaped than my design is along with a whole bunch of, get this, S.U.V.'s. What I am saying is that Ferrari cars do not all have to have this roof. You could call a couple of those rooflines a whole bunch of different shape names. And there are many Ferraris which do not have this teardropped roof.

Anyway, let us stop this argument like you said, because I'm not budging, and niether are you. So let's just call it a truce or something like that, and put it behind us.

Its not a style, its just wrong. You cant play with perspective as many easly sketches seem to until you understand proportion; you clearly dont yet.
Please dont talk crap about your 'style... being more like painting' as if this excuses sloppy perspective. Even the Picasso had both its headlights on the front.

By the way the prim little THX at the end sounds THuper gay; react like that to someone more experienced offering help and they wont bother, and you'll be stuck with your style.
