I made the top ten (with just words no sketch), but I didn't gte enough votes to move on....smh maybe next time

What was the point of this competition when the winner didn't design the car? Even the top 5 finalists never designed the cars from what I understood.

The point of this competition is to have some fun and excercise your creativity. I don't believe Mazda wants anyone to do a good job. If an amateur designer drew something that was really beautiful and won, it would show people that Mazda designers have less talent than an amateur.

Do the contestants at the Peugeot Design Contest actually draw their cars? Those are pretty amazing designs.

Yeah they do. Thats the fun part, dictating your idea to someone over the internet or telephone is not fun...

I think you should have entered the contest at speedanddesign.net instead, you would have a much better chance of winning.
I am thinking of entering, but I suspect those guys are just a bunch of morons who have nothing better to do than draw cars and vote for their friends entries.
