comonground, Michelin pays for shipping and will work with you for organizing the transportation and display of your model. Belive me, if your design is chosen, we'll take VERY good care of it. Since you are entering a scale model, you will also have the opportunity if you are chosen, to have it shown for a month after the Auto Show at the Automotive Hall of Fame in nearby Dearborn Michigan. Thanks for entering. Any others who have entered should have recieved a notice of acception (or not) by now. If not, let me know.

hello steve, thank you for your answer. I have one more question, is the only text we are allowed to have to explain our design these 200 words in the entry form, or may we use some more text in our drawings? (some short sentences for describing some things? other question:
i will have to end of june some ready renderings and a Rhino 3D Modell (will send to you then Pictures of it) but the scale model will not be finished then, maybe just the claymodel, may i anyhow send some photos from the claymodel? (to show the current the design)
sorry if my english is not perfect ...i hope you can answer my questions.
Thank you for that
regards ...peter

The idea of having some short notes contained whithin your drawings is a good one. Include them as long as they don't distract form your design but may explain what is beneath the surface. Many safety features are not apparent when looking at a rendering or exterior model. All entrants may want to make note of commonground's idea. As to your other concern about the timing of your finished model. . . send your renderings and pictures of your Rhino 3D model by the deadline. If you are selected to continue, you'll have until mid December to finish your actual model so we can get it shipped to Detroit in time for the Auto Show. Hope that helps. Thanks again for your efforts and as always, if there are any other questions, just ask. Steve

By now, those of you who were selected to participate in the next stage of the Michelin Challenge have been sent a password to the ENTRY FORM section of our website - www.michelinchallengedesign.com.
I know that we, as designers, tend to wait till the final hour to perfect our proposals, so this is just a gentle reminder that they are due by June 29th. Tha's less than a month!
We put together an impressive jury which will be announced soon and look forward to seeing your response to our theme.
Feel free to contact me for any other info.
Thanks for entering and Good Luck.

To answer a recent question. . . No, you don't have to submit you final proposal with your Entry Form. I suggest you fill out and submit your entry form as soon as possible and take the rest of the time to complete your work. Then make sure we receive your final proposal by June 29th.
Hope that clears things up.
Steve

Steve,

In the theme of the competition it reads "Designers should consider how their proposed vehicles interact with vehicles of other sizes and types to emphasize accident avoidance".

What does "interact" means? I don't understand the meaning of interacting with vehicles of other sizes and types.
