Adventure Team Motors begins August 8th. This is a one week sketch competition and a challenge to design a transport vehicle designed to accommodate a group of extreme sport enthusiasts. Think surfers, climbers, bikers, etc. The car should be inspired by nature and should focus on "enjoying the ride", and should be a base for the adrenaline junkies to regroup.
This is the 4th Local Motors Competition. LM is an American Automotive company focusing on designing cars for enthusiasts in specific geographic locations; designs are built in limited production. Local Motors is the only car company to develop designs in open non-private development with an entire community. If your design is chosen to be built, you will earn $10,000.
Also, Local Motors has announced the FIRST community design which will be built in limited production. The Rally Fighter by Sangho Kim from ACCD, was chosen as the first build. Sangho won $10,000, and each car of his design will bare his name; he will also participate in the development process to the extent he desires. Local Motors is dedicated to making Kim's vision come to life.
The entire Local Motors Community is invited to participate in the Rally Fighter Design Process; this is an open-development process and is a first for the automotive industry. I hope you guys will check it out!
