hello

i really can not understand, how it can be that there are about 8000 participants and peugeot chose this 30 designs! I can't believe that this are the best 30! What is about style feeling, all 30 are perfect illustrations, but is this important? What about good ideas? nice lines? The most of them you could use for a hotwheel toy-car, but not for a serious concept-car!
its a pity that peugeot wasting time and money for such designs....!

Comeonground can you please elaborate. You are of course entitled to your opinion but i am just curious.....because i dont really see what you are getting at. What exactly would you be looking for....and what exactly is a "serious" concept car? For me some of these designs are great, and some i cant figure out, some i like and some i dont. The work is diverse though, and is pretty much what i would expect for "conceptual" work. I do like the Flux concept by the way. Anyway, i am certainly not having a go, i am just curious to hear a little more of your thoughts.

Those were all perfect computer illustrations. Does this really mean you can't win a competition with a marker illustrated design?

Yeah, PDC is more of 3D illustration contest rather than a contest for ideas.
Check Michelin Contest. Check this entry from last year at this link.

This is of the quality that PDC judges would have thrown out in the first place but is very nice and practical concept.

Again PDC looks for very SHOWY 3D illustrations to make their contest look so good to public. Think about that PDC had been advertised and articles came out on many 3D illustration magazines last year.
