then.
if your comments were right,
the finalists are someone in the photo gallery?
or all of photo gallery's entries can be included in the 10 finalists?
or the photo gallery's shown will not be included in 10 finalists??
well, really wonder about it.

The press release says that all participants have now been notified, including the non-finalists. I sent in an entry and have received NO notification. Anybody else?

Hey Aflo,
I too entered the contest and have gotten no automated confirmation of entry or results one way or the other. I actually sent my entry in a few days early and didn't get an automated confirmation. I e-mailed Brett, who promptly got back to me saying that it looked as though my entry was complete in the system and it was good to go.
Now they are saying everybody who entered should have heard either a rejection or acceptance by now and I've gotten nothing to that effect. It makes me beleive that there may be completed entries that were not included in the judging process for one reason or another (technical glitch?).
This is troubling to me because I put a non-trivial amount of time and effort into my submission only to hear nothing while the organizers have clearly stated that they claim to have notified everybody who entered one way or the other by now (and clearly some people have been successfully notified).
I will say that if there is an oversight here, I think it must be technical in nature because Brett promptly returned my e-mail inquiry about the status of my entry before the end of the submission period.
Having said that, I too feel as though my submission may not have been judged for one reason or another. If I don't hear anything in the next few days, I'm going to post my entry here for people to see (might as well not let it go to waste completely).
p.s. My log in name may look familiar to you as I was an intern of yours at AAU and Nissan. I've kept an eye on your postings here but haven't felt the need to post until now.

All the entry submissions that were completed (where you have seen a confirmation message on the website) were registered in the system and have been included in the judging, but not all of the automatic confirmation emails may have got to the entrants. If you still haven't receive a confirmation email, please contact us: support@cardesignnews.com

I have just received notification that my entry had NOT been seen or judged in the initial session, in spite of the confirmation message. It was found later and, with some others, was subjected to a (very recent) second judging round - but was still not a finalist. I appreciate the second chance and I understand that everybody makes mistakes. I also appreciated the notification of the problem, late as it was, along with their apology.
Nonetheless, it is a shame and clearly any secondary judging, although that is all that they could do under the circumstances, is hardly a fair and level playing field for any entries thus 'misplaced'. I suppose that, if it doesn't appear in the non-finalist gallery (haven't seen it so far), I will post it here for general viewing. Elliott, I remember you well and wish you better luck than me. I'm sure your entry was terrific.

Aflo (that seems a little impersonal, but I'm not sure if I should use your real name on here),
Sorry to hear you didn't make it into the finals, but at least you have heard something at this point. I still haven't heard anything, despite sending an e-mail to the above address with a summary of my correspondence with Brett to date. Given the time difference between California and London, I guess some patience is warranted.
Hopefully some sort of satisfactory explanation is forthcoming.

Still nothing for me despite an e-mail to the above address.
No "We have reviewed your entry and you were eliminated".
No "We have reviewed your entry and you have not been eliminated".
No "Something happened and we need more time to review your entry".
Nothing. Quiet frustrating, really.
Who knows, Maybe Brett is on his way to China for next week's show?
