Vexed. What picture size are you looking for? We have increased the size for final entries.

Did any of you see that sketch eric posted, before Mr.C. talked Harv into banning eric and his work? It was amazing! I would never believe something could look like a Karmann Ghia and also look so good! I hope Raf submits another one if his stupid drawings for THIS contest, I have so many funny things to say when I critique it.

Raf had an idea today, he thinks a Karmann Ghia should be rear engined because it's beetle based. As everyone who has looked under the bonnet of a beetle knows the engine is in the front.
I thought that you just could'nt come up with a dumber idea for a contest when they did the twingo contest. Looks like I was wrong.

What do you think would be a good contest idea?

A virtual car for a video game, or similar software. The concept is there is a web cam glued to the forehead, of the driver of the ultimate car. You can see what he sees, on the monitor in front of you.
This way the members can draw whatever they want to. If I tell them what to draw, they will do something else anyway.

After giving your question some thought, I decided that what we need to do is design a car that is made entirely from parts of other cars.
I saw this car at a custom car show, The proprietor of a body shop cut pieces off of a few cars, and welded these together to create a new car that was much better than the sum of it's parts. These are actually easier to design because you can use photoshop to do the picture and do the ideation sketch and the rendering at the same time. If a truly exceptional design is created, a young man could construct the car himself, and enter it at the NAIS show in January and this will prove to the executives at GM and Ford that they should hire him to replace the old men who cant come up with desirable cars they presently employ

That's a terrible idea! The goal of design is to create something new, innovative, futuristic etc...

If everyone designed their cars by taking pieces from other cars we'd never move forward, and soon all the cars will end up looking EXACTLY the same.
